On December 3rd, Landmark Bhairahawa held a training session for staff focused on improving the guest experience for visitors with disabilities. The session covered a range of topics, including:
Respectful communication and guest interaction: Employees learned how to approach guests with disabilities in a sensitive and helpful manner, actively listening to their needs and offering assistance when needed.
Physical Accessibility: The training reviewed the property's accessibility features, including wheelchair access to the entrance, lobby, elevators, rooms, and public areas. Staff also discussed emergency evacuation procedures for guests with disabilities.
Breaking Barriers: The session discussed the importance of challenging societal stereotypes and biases towards people with disabilities. By fostering a culture of inclusion and understanding, we can create a more welcoming environment for all.
